PDF Solving

Hi friends, Dob here with a silly little collab with crossword universe mensch Alex Boisvert of Crossword Nexus fame! This puzzle came about from discussing a recent update to Alex’s/Crossword Nexus’s PDF creator, which, oops, showed up on the Daily Crossword Links site as an actual puzzle:

When I asked Alex if he wanted to add anything to this intro, he said “I think my note about the [redacted] clue is enough”:

I have nothing else to add except in a perhaps unsurprising plot twist, there’s no PDF for this. Take that, Adobe. Thanks for solving!
