Let’s keep taking care of ourselves and our communities. I’m not an optimist, and I probably never will be. It’s okay that the bad feelings are there. You have my permission to take care of yourself and be kind to yourself.
Some days the thing that gets me out of bed is a kind of spite feeling, like, I’ll prove these m.f.-ers wrong by living by different values and being kind to people in my community. I have been finding that motivating lately.
