Hi, it’s Dob and it’s a momentous occasion here at Crossweird Puzzles: my first multiple rejection puzzle! *holds an awkwardly long time for applause*

This one’s been in the works for quite a while and was the first theme I ever came up with that I really liked. What makes it more special, though, is I was fortunate enough to guilt persuade the best in the business, Kate Chin Park, to go halfsies on the cluing. Here’s what she has to say:

Dob’s hyperbolic description of my contributions aside, I am always so happy to collaborate with him on a puzzle. Is this partially because I get to tell him when his puns are bad? Yes. Is it partially because he gets mad when I make puns and he accidentally laughs at them before he can tell me they’re bad? Yes. Is it partially so that I can remind him that I once clued YOYO as [Look, Ma, a cellist!]? Yes. Oh, and also I love this theme and am sad that no editors wanted it but happy that we could re-clue it for the indies, with all the joy and ridiculousness that entails. : )

Thanks for doing this for all the right reasons, as always, Kate. As always, if you solve it, stream it, like it, or hate it, we’d love to know, so consider leaving a comment below or emailing us. Thanks and hope you enjoy!
